Rush Communications. From the man who created Baby Phat clothing, produced hip-hop artists including Will Smith and wrote two New York Times best selling books comes Tantris, which will feature women’s and men’s yoga activewear and accessories, such as meditation beads, yoga mats, pillows and scented candles.

Considering Simmons’ history of specialization in wide-ranging industries, his foray into yoga wear is no stretch.

“I see yoga studios starting to grow and yoga classes getting more crowded," Simmons told Women's Wear Daily. "I see [yoga] brands continuing to grow. I’m doing this because of my passion for yoga not because I’m that kind of business guy. After doing yoga, I feel alive and awakened. I want to give people that feeling or to teach people who want to learn more about yoga.”

After launching at department stores, health clubs and spas this fall, Simmons said Tantris will become the label of vegan restaurants, yoga studios, juice bars and specialty stores he plans to open.
